Bicester Village is growing

The extension of Bicester Village designer outlet is taking shape.

Work is going ahead with the completion of the steelwork frames for the extra 33 new boutiques to cope with the added demand. Over the coming months the shops units, car park and a number of road improvements are expected to be finished.

The project team has been working towards widening access and improving the approach into Bicester to help tackle any more congestion.

A hamburger-style roundabout, allowing vehicles to drive through the centre, was added for better traffic movement on the A41 outside the Esso petrol station.

Work has also begun on the landscaping.

Bicester Village community relations director Miranda Markham said: “We are pleased with the progress to date and have been fortunate to have had good weather during the early phase of the project.”

The expansion is expected to be completed by Autumn.
