The conversion of this magnificent country estate to resort hotel was carried out for Warner Holidays.

The original house is a Grade 1 listed Tudor mansion, which was regularly visited by Henry VIII and later became a stronghold for Cromwellian army in the Civil war.

As well as delicate conversion works to the main house, this £10 million construction project included a 200–bed hotel block, pool and fitness centre, dining and entertainment’s building and associated main reception, offices and staff accommodation.
Whilst most of these were new structures replacing redundant estate buildings, the existing stables and yard were retained and incorporated into the new pool and fitness building.
