Furness Partnership was instructed by The Portman Estate to carry out Structural Engineering design on this Grade II listed Georgian townhouse.
The project involved significant structural alterations to the rear extension and internal layouts to restore the building to its original grandeur.
The property has fallen in a very poor state and has suffered extensive rot damage throughout. All repairs and alterations to the existing structure in order to accommodate the new apartments were carried out in consultation with English Heritage to maintain the historical fabric of the building.
